An End to a New Begining

It has been one full year since I left the Monastry.

The past year was filled with ups and downs, been in and out of depression and almost fell into another recently. But all this is behind me now and felt glad that I am able to walk my path of life with new confidence. Although I am still slowly fitting back into "main stream" society, I am sure that I will grow stronger with each new day.

Many people had walked into my life in the past year. A few stayed on earning a special place in my heart, some choose to disappear overnite while I let go of those that were lost when I dropped my handphone. Life is full of ups and downs, hellos and good byes. And from a Buddhist point of view, it is good way to practise detachment. And only through detachment that we are able to untangle ourselves from the cycle of re-birth.

One very special friend to thank who stood by me since the day we knew each other. Through thick and thin, you have endured with me. Laughed with me at all the fun and happy moments, took all my nonsense without bidding an eyelid, cried through my depression, worried about my well being, helped me in a thousand and one ways. Without her, I would have never make it this far. I owe her too much.

My gay friends has been a constant support in my down days but as pointed out by a big bird - gay people are generally plastic, good only for hanging out with and relationships between people changes at lightning speed. And if you are not 'glam' enough to go hip hop clubbing together; then sorry man, you don't fit into our clique. So, I take it that I am juz not 'gay' enough - other than sexually active with guys - to be 'in the scene'.

Have got to know a few new friends since some old friends who claims to be on brotherly terms choose to ignore me recently - I am still searching for the reasons and those who know, please tell me. Although I am having great fun with my new acqiuantances, but I am constantly reminding myself not to put too much emotions into it as I don't want to be hurt again.

Just for those who are still interested in my life, I started a new job with a mesirable pay and the contract is only 6 months; but doing something that I enjoy. So will just take things as they come and see where will this job lead me to.

Since this blog has been in effect for a year and its really getting too large, its high time to start a new one, espcially so since I am entering into a new stage of my life.

Every Begining leads to an Ending.

Every Ending is a new Begining.

Change of Course

Have not been blogging for a long time liao as was real busy with some temp jobs, lion dance and temple stuff lately.

Juz got a job at The Airport doing Passenger Service but the job requires shift work and has a lot of night duties.  Which means I can't hang at Nines Cafe so often at the time when most of my friends will be there.

Nor have much time for lion dance and temple stuff on wekends as the job will see me woking through weekends. Looking from another perspective, it might be a good thing as I have this feeling lately that I want to shed off some of my commitments.

The plus side of this job is - what I will be doing is related to my studies and working at the airport will get to interact with people from all over the world and all walks of life, so it would be an enriching experience.  And I get off days on weekdays - can go shopping without jostling with the weekend crowd. Oh yes, will be working with someone dear too.

Wish me luck, as I will only be officially accepted for the job after I pass the training.

Happenings

Finally had a good nite's sleep, although I woke up at 4:08 am for a little while.

There was twenty odd messages in my handphones when I finally dragged myself out from bed at about nine, mostly good morning messages and some form Baby Face asking me where to meet for the Sentosa Outing which I had absolutely no idea about and asking me for Ark's mobile number.

Feeling naughty and mischievous, I send him a number 995xxxxx as Ark's number which he actually called that put him to The Fire Service! Feeling guilty and partly coz I can understand the loneliness he must be feeling, I chio him to join us in going to 'Ling Yun Dian'.

Met up with Aubrey, Mouse, and Baby Face at Aljunied and dashed to Ling Yun Dian before we were caught in the rain. Met Cheng and Victor from The Taoism Singapore List there - they were busy taking photos of the procession and happenings at the Temple so there weren't much oportunity to talk and besides, it was too noisy, so just introduced the people to each other.

Ah Biah and A Loy join us soon and after the blessings by 'Third Lotus Guan Ying', we went to have lunch at a nearby coffee shop. The gang were quite impressed that I could remember their favorite drinks. No choice leh, I just like to dote on them.

Since there were still more than an hour before our next activity, we decided to pop over to 'Shi Xiong' to slack. There was some problems with the gate and we were couldn't get in, so just hanged at the coffee shop downstairs talking cock and exchanging hilarious stories.

The whole lot of us trooped up to 'Shi Xiong' when Stone finally came to open the gate for us and we just 'nuah' around doing nothing. Don't know what came over me but started flirting with A Loy - who is straight by the way. We were sitting on the same sofa and I jokingly ask him if I can hug him which he says okay.

Thus was hugging him and holding hands most of the time and the feeling is weird coz its the first time doing so with a straight friend. Anyway, most bengs are quite okay with a little touchy touchy here and there, juz don't go below the waist. Baby Face left for his date and we waited till about six when the loory fectching us to 'Wu Shen Gong' finally arrived.

Helped to carry a Sedan Chair which seated 'Er Ye Bo's statue for the 'Wu Shen Gong' short procession to few places to pay respect and it was fun as I have not been doing it like for 9 years? The procession ended at eleven plus we were quite fortunate to have someone drove us to Outram Park where all could catch the MRT home, although we initially planned to take 72 from Tampines Interchange and we could fool around on the bus.

Seems like the recent Sundays were fun filled since I got to know Ah Biah and started to hang out with him more. All my childhood days re-lived.

Evening

Met up with Aubrey, Mouse and Ah Biah.

Spent the late afternoon and early evening at 'Xian Dan Gong' 贤当宫 talking and rotting. Although still a little sick, but felt better once I reached the Temple. Kept teasing Aubrey and playing with his hair and ended up tying his hair like the ancient kids do; hee... he look so cute... After dinner, Ah Biah even wrote a talisman 符 for my flu... so sweet... but I kept disturbing him by saying not sure is it useful or not; but I drank that cup of water with the burnt talisman in it so as not to disappoint him as he really 用心 to write it out.

The four of us went over to 'Zhen Xing Shan Zuang' 真心山庄 in the nite to help out. Ah Biah originally was not rostered to go into trance but the Gods have some matters to clear with each other, thus he was asked to go into trance to invite 'Third Uncle' 三爷伯. Was a relatively short session as 'Second Uncle' 二爷伯 has only some minor issues to tell 'Third Uncle' 三爷伯.

Once that was settled, Ah Biah came out of trance and we all left for home.

Sneezing Saturday

Been sneezing like mad since I woke up.

Attended Fuzionz's birthday celebrations at Tea Chapter yesterday nite. Much as reluctance as I am, I still went. Was feeling sick most of the time, so just brew tea for the gang. Quite pissed off with Tea Chapter; they started chasing customers away just after 10:30pm. In the olden days, we could actually hang out there till late. Well, times have changed.

Walked to Merlion Park to cut Fuzionz's birthday cake and spent some time talking on the steps. Caught a chill and started to feel feverish. Left shortly after mid night as I forgot to bring my keys - Dad says he will wait up till one o'clock for me.

Went to see a Chinese Sinseh and finished two servings of the medicine and feeling slightly better. Going down to Old Tampines Road to meet Ah Biah, Aubery and Mouse.

Holy Day

Went to the usual few Temples with Jave and Ah Biah.

First stop - Jade Emperor Temple at Jurong West. Both of them managed to seek the answers to their questions and I am glad to see them both so happy.

Second Stop - Jin Fu Gong at Jurong West extension. We spent some time admiring the architecture and cravings of the temple. It looks a lot like some mid scale temples in Taiwan.

Third Stop - An Ji Shen Wang Temple at West Coast. Was surprised by the two dragons flanking the bridge linking the car park and the temple grounds with their spurts of water when we walked across the bridge.

Fourth Stop - Dong Yu Temple. Ah Biah was asking questions and seeking the answers by throwing the 'puay' and the outcome is quite confusing. So he asked if the God is not in the mood to answer his questions and the answer is yes!

Had lunch at Fortune Center and spent some time looking at God statues in the shops before hopping over to 'Jin Tong Fu' but missed the 'Sending off Jade Emperor' ceremony. Stopped by at Geylang awhile on the way to my house to refresh and change.

Still thinking should I attend Eric's birthday celebrations later.

Relieve

Still sick, but had a fun day.

Was talking to Ah Biah on the phone in the morning and both feeling bored, asked him to come over to my place. Met him at the Interchange to have lunch at the Basement Food Court before walking back to my place.

Spent the afternoon drinking Chinese Tea, writing Calligraphy and talking cock. Mouse called up at four plus and asked him to come over as well. The two stayed for dinner and we finished all the food! Went to Kallang Car Park where 'Jin Dong Fu' is having their celebrations for a look-see before fetching Dad form work.

Told Ah Biah about my sexuality and surprisingly, he is quite okay with it. At least don't have to put up too much pretence.
