Book and Food Fair

I went to two fairs today without planning to so.

Met up with Ryan early in the morning to go to the Navy Open House at Changi Naval Base, but we realized that the Open House was already over as it was only on during the last weekend.

Thus we decided to visit the Food Fair instead as we are so near to The Expo. We were too early for the Food Fair so we went to The Coffee Bean to have a drink and talked awhile sharing bits of our life with each other.

The Food Fair was a disappointment as compared to the previous years as there seems to be less stalls selling cooked food and the layout is a little out. After filling our stomachs at the food fair, we decide to hop over to The World Book Fair at Suntec City.

We initially thought that we were in the wrong exhibition when we entered the exhibition hall as we didn't really see any books around but there were stalls selling Chinese Tea, Toys, Games, Shoes, Bras and even food!

There were only a couple of book stalls around which focused mainly on Chinese books with the rest of the stalls dedicated to religious books and stuff. There were also a couple of stalls featuring China and Taiwan products and I bought a set of tarot cards from a Taiwan publisher.

Met Cauli for awhile at the Book Fair and leaving her to shop alone when we felt hungry again and we went to Marina Square to eat at Burger King. Came back to Suntec and played awhile at the Arcade and I think Ryan is my lucky star coz I kept winning credits at the mahjong game the moment he sat down next to me after he finished his game.

We went for a drink after we left the Arcade and went through my tarot cards. I had very joyful feeling when opening the cards and was pleasantly surprised to find some of the illustrations very appealing.

Ryan left to meet his friends while I waited at Suntec to meet up with Jave, Cold Flames and Fuzionz to have dinner at the Fountain Food Court and to visit the Book Fair - yeap - again! And I bought another set of tarot cards - a 22 card set as the illustrations is quite unique and I don't think is available elsewhere in Singapore.

Had coffee - actually none of us had coffee - at Pacific Coffee and supper at Standford Food Court before heading home.

Had a fun filled Fairs Day!

More Temple Processions

Went to watched two Temple Processions today.

Was at Bishan in the morning to watch Shun Zhong Temple's procession which is a rater quiet affair - although they have a Lion and Dragon Dance Troupe which had to double up as the Golden Drum Troupe as well, 3 sedan chairs and 4 mediums - Shan Cai Ting Zi, Han Jiang Jun, Xuan Tian Shang Di and Zhong Tan Yuan Shuai.

I followed them to Bukit Panjang and where I left the possession to have brunch at a Food Court near the Fajar LRT Station before taking the LRT to Bukit Panjang Fu Long Temple.

The procession at Fu Long Temple is a big scale one with almost 30 vehicles including some sports cars! Met Brandon who is doing traffic control for the procession there and I hoped into his car when the procession started off.

There were 10 floats all decorated to look almost Chingay, a Lion and Dragon Dance Troupe, Hokkien Music Troupe, Golden Drum Troupe, 3 Sedan Chairs and 12 Mediums - which had piercings on the arms and some at the mouth too.

The Deities in the procession included: Lian Hua San Tai Zi, Shan Cai Tong Zi, Nan Hai Shan Cai, Qi Tian Da Shen, Da Shen Fo Zhu, Xuan Tian Shang Di, Guan Di Shen Jun, Zhang Gong Shen Jun, Guang Yin Fo Zhu, Zhong Tan Yuan Shuai, Da Ye Bo and Er Ye Bo.

Glad to meet Brandon as it has been almost a year since we last. Must also thank him for providing me the opportunity to attend a temple procession in a sports car for the first time!

Temple Procession

Left home only at four o'clock to watch Zhong Shun Temple's procession but still manage to be in time to be there before the procession started.

One of the big draw for this procession is the 5 mediums who pierced their mouth each with 8 foot long brass pole having the diameter almost that of a 50 cents coin. Another draw is the COFFIN that went on the procession. Some may be wondering what is a coffin doing in a temple procession - its for the mediums personifying the Nether Gods to sit on during the procession.

I met Raymond there and after watching the beginning of the parade, we drove down to their first stop which is a coffin shop in Toa Payoh to await their arrival. There were more than a hundred people waiting there close to eight o'clock when the procession arrived.

There were the usual Float, Lion and Dragon Dance Troupe, Hokkien Music Troupe, Ba Jia Jiang - Eight Generals, Golden Drum Troupe 3 Sedan Chairs and 11 mediums. They took quite a long time to parade in as some time were spent strengthening the structure which the coffin was on.

The Deities included: Shan Cai Tong Zi, Ne Zha Tai Zi, Ji Gong Huo Fo, Ci Fu Wang Ye and Lian Hua San Tai Zi - all having the 8 foot poles poked through the mouth. There were six Nether Gods - three pairs of Da Er Ye Bo with 2 of them having metal chains poked through the mouth, 2 with bamboos and 2 with daggers. The youngest was a teenager at most 15 or 16 years old!

This is certainly an eye opening experience.

Satay and Karaoke

Just came back from a Satay Dinner and a Karaoke Session.

Met up with Jave, Cold Flames, Skye and Fuzionz earlier in the evening to have dinner at the coffee shop in Geylang Lorong 7 where Li Han's Satay stall is.

We ordered some dishes from the 'Chi Char' stall other than Li Han's satay and had beer to go along. Been ages since I had beer - like 5 years? Skye and Fuzionz is sick so they didn't really had an appetite thus Jave, Cold Flames and me ended up eating their share of food as well.

Went to The Red Tea House Karaoke and had a hilarious time singing and laughing. Have not been in a Karaoke for almost 5 tears too and I am amazed that the choosing of songs is now computerized.

Took a Night Rider home for the first time as well after singing our hearts out, as well as our throat
hoarse.

Seems there is so many first time today.

Interview

Went for an interview for my internship today.

I was well dressed, punctual - actually was too early, read up the company's profile, familiar with the company's performance and knows the management style.

The only thing I didn't know was my job scope!

Disastrous Date

Went on a disastrous date today.

Was on MSN in the morning as usual - meaning that all the household chores I am supposed to take care is undone - till reality sets in and I finished up my share of the house work in double quick time.

Thus I was late when I meet up with Solitude. I was pleasantly surprised to meet Offline together with him as I was only expecting to meet him alone. We had lunch at The New Orchard OG Food Court before the three of us walked to Mount Elizabeth Hospital for Solitude's Dental Appointment.

It was then that disastrous struck - the two of them were playing cards while walking on the busy Orchard Side Walk! I didn't know where to put myself as there were lots of people staring at the two of them, so I just walked at distance trying not to be associated with them.

Disaster struck again when we left the building afterwards - the two of them were saying something to each other and BOTH started SCREAMING at each other. I dashed at double top speed into the nearest building, which was Paragon, to save myself from the embarrassment. Anyway, I still stayed with them to have coffee at Coffee Club before going off with some lame excuse.

Was planning to drive up to Bukit Panjang after fetching Dad from work when Jave called. So I went down to town to pick him up and we drove over to Geylang. No lah - not to visit the red lite district - but to visit Chocolate aka Li Han's Satay Stall. Went to visit two temples - in Fajar and Teck Whye - before sending Jave home.

Although I wasn't expecting anything from today's date, guess I got more than what I bargained for.

Drenched

Spent the morning on MSN as usual and the rest of the day at Ah Dan's Temple.

There was nothing much to do so I just helped to guide the few youngsters along who are learning the ropes. Was drenched during The Ceremony to send off The Jade Emperor but still endured and help out with the endless odds and ends during Temple festivals.

Ah Biah only appeared close to six as he overslept and left for his Basic Theory Test after a hasty dinner. We had dinner only at seven plus after packing up most of the stuff and had a hearty talk with Ah Dan after dinner.

Was feeling wet and uncomfortable so I called up Chin Ghee - which I had not met for almost a year - to ask if I can go over to his place to bath. We knew each other since Safincos days and much as I expected, he was more than willing to accommodate my request.

I still remember the times when we were both in the army and I do spend some nights over at his place as it was nearer to camp. There were some hanky panky but it was just plain fooling around that didn't lead to anything drastic.

Finally reached home close to midnite and going to knock out soon.

Childhood Refreshed

This is the perfect day to go for a swim, but...

I procrastinated by logging on to MSN. When I finally decided to remove my ass from the computer seat, it was too late to go for a swim as I am waiting for Ah Biah's call to confirm the time we are meeting to go over to Ah Dan's Temple.

Fell asleep on the sofa while waiting for the call and only woke up when hunger pangs sets in! Went to The HDB Hub Food Court to grab lunch and kept calling Ah Biah but he just didn't answer his calls.

Almost gave up and thinking that my help might not be required; I went to The Entertainment Center and queued up wanting to buy a ticket for a movie. Ah Biah's call finally came just as I reached the counter.

Thus I abandon the movie and went over to Ah Dan's Temple in Tampines as I promised to help them out this two days. Was glad that I went coz met a few people who forgotten who I was and caught up with old times doing things that I enjoyed when I was a young kid.

It's Ah Dan's third year of being a medium for The Lotus Third Prince and he has to perform a ceremony to give thanks to The Jade Emperor for the blessings. Although it was a simple ceremony but they required someone experienced to lay out some weapons for the ceremony. Since I had the knowledge of it, I was tasked with the duty to do so.

Its a day that I re-lived my childhood times.

Shopping And Blessings

I went on a shopping spree today!

Wanted to go for a swim to reduce some tummy fat but the weather was just too gloomy for my liking to go swimming. So was on MSN with Ryan and Wei Min - I told him I am gay - in the morning telling them I am bored almost to death and Ryan agreed to meet up.

Went to Far East Plaza with Ryan who wanted to pierce his ears and Skye who wanted to get some stuff for his school play. I wanted to look at accessories too so we were hopping from shop to shop and I ended up getting another bangle, a clip-on ear ring, some love bands and also two pouches for my handphones.

I didn't have an appetite but after seeing how delicious the food that Skye and Ryan are having, I ordered my share too and for those who know me well enough - I took chicken rice for the first time in like five or six years?! I actually didn't complain that I don't like chicken rice as it was quite well done and the service is really customer orientated though it would be better if they can smile more.

We walked from Far East Plaza, where Skye left us for school, to The Herren then to Raffles City, stopping by U4Ria to get the penis-shaped candy as I wanted to tease the guys later at Nines. We also stopped by at Center Point Robinson to see if anyone I now is on shift - saw Teck Boon there and teased him as usual till he blushes - I just love that look and then to Raffles City MPH to look at "The Book of Answers". I didn't get the book but might do so later.

Ryan suggested having dinner at Subway and its again a first as I never ate at Subway before. The sandwich is BIG - 6 inches long - and very filling. I was also surprised to learn that they also have ONE FOOT long sandwiches which made me wonder how on earth do you manage it when the longest I ever had was like 7 plus inches and it made me gagged.

Cold Flames came over to meet us at Raffles City Subway after he finished work and the three of us were cracking jokes all through the dinner. Walked down to Nines Cafe - again - after dinner where we were supposed to meet Skye, Adaxial and Fuzionz.

Fuzionz was having his dinner near by and Adaxial didn't turn up as he was too lazy to travel. Skye hopped in just as we were settling down and I presented him with that sweet. Guess what? He actually sucked it off there and then, even asking who wants to share it!

Fuzionz was no better off when I gave him his sweet as he said he will bring home and keep in the fridge to preserve the freshness! Can't imagine what the family will say to see that male organ lolly in the fridge!

Wasn't at all surprised to see Jigme there with two new faces, he sure have a way with guys as I keep seeing him with someone new almost every week. Not sure what is happening but seems like he is doing a blessing for the group of people at his table.

I left early with Cold Flames and Fuzionz as I was really tired out by all the walking. I took the same bus with Cold Flames as I wanted to talk with him. I am glad for him that things are working out fine and all I have for him are my blessings.

Went to Owen Road to pay respects at a temple as I was really blessed by "Tua Ya Pe" for saving me from a close shave. Won't want to go into details but I really thank the Beings for blessing me each time I come into dangerous zones.

This is a day that I am blessed with good company, good food and good things.

Lazy Sunday

Its just a lazy Sunday but full of dilemmas, thankfully not mine.

Although it was close to six when I finally cried myself to sleep, I woke up three hours later at nine o'clock.

Spent the rest of the morning blogging, posting in forums and trying to figure out how to connect to MSN with my laptop using the spare phone line and finally succeeded after lunch. Was chatting with Baby Face, Adaxial and Fuzionz in MSN before fatigue really set in and I hit the sacks for the later part of the afternoon. Woke up at five to accompany Mum for dinner and we had Japanese food at the Kou Fu Food Court.

Went down to Nines Cafe after dinner and I almost threw my root beer bottle at Cold Flames and Skye when they appeared closed to eight when we were supposed to meet at six! But I didn't really mind the wait as I was on MSN with Adaxial and Fuzionz besides there is a new staff there to ogle at.

Had a heartening talk with Cold Flames about the dilemma he's facing but encouraged him to be patient for nature to take its own course. He was a little worried that I am not able to take the blow from the Fuzionz affair but I ensured him that I am alright as I have been through rougher patches in life.

Jave arrived close to closing time and after horsing around in Nines till they were about to chase us out with brooms and mops, we adjourned for supper to some coffee shop near Boat Quay. Kastaway joined us after his outing at Towel Club and the topics were mostly about Chinese cultural, super natural and sexual stuff.

Was very touched to receive a message from Cauli saying that she is glad that I have friends supporting me by my side and I replied to her message telling her that I know that she is also one that stands by me. In fact she has stood by me through so many difficult times that I really thank the Beings for blessing me with a friend in her.

No one could decide how to get back home, so playing the big brother role, I maneuvered the troupe to a bus stop where Clod Flames and Skye could still take the last bus there back to Hougang before Jave and me seek out our own transport home.

I took the opportunity to talk to Jave about his dilemma after parting with the two younger ones. Although I am very sure he knows what he is doing and I understand that he needs time to untangle himself from the other web locks but it still pains me to see two people in love but both afraid to commit to the relationship for the fear of hurting and being hurt.

Who am I to comment about love when I didn't even pass my own love test?

Ironic Saturday Nite

This is a damn ironic Saturday nite.

There is supposed to be a Chinese Tea Outing at Tea Spa but due to some reasons, the outing turned out to be at Nines Cafe - again. There were only two names on the confirmed list but the turnout was great - almost twenty in all.

Shopped around a little while and bought another pendant and bracelet before meeting Kastaway and Ryan at Bugis Junction. Bumped into Skye di di and had a short talk on what happened between Fuzionz and me. Although things didn't work out between us, still have to thank this di di of mine for going that extra mile.

Went for dinner with Kastaway at Funan Food Court while Skye and Ryan went for their dinner and dance. Dinner with Kastaway was a hilarious time exchanging lame jokes and I really appreciate his cheering me up when I am feeling down.

Proceeded to the Chinese Tea Outing at Nines Cafe - ironic? - after dinner and met some new faces other than Jave, Cold Flames and Jigme there. Wasn't in the mood for conversation so I busied myself on the laptop downloading some stuff and surfing SGBoy awhile - I know its lame to surf at an outing - just flame me!

After there is really nothing that interest me on the net, Cold Flames initiated the topic about Fuzionz and I really appreciate the concern he showed. I was also glad that he arranged for me to fetch Skye and Ryan from their dinner and dance when Fuzionz sms to say that he is coming over with Linus.

I was really touched when both Cold Flames and Jave volunteered to accompany me over to Bugis to fetch the other two and must really thank them for putting up with some of my nonsense during the way there and at the Plaza by The Park Food Court where we stopped for some food.

The most touching moment I felt was when Cold Flames accompanied me to park the car when we reached back to Chinatown Point as there were no proper parking place; those who drive will know how frustrating it is to find parking place by yourself when you are driving on a group outing.

Didn't stay long at Nines Cafe. The majority went clubbing while I volunteered to drive Ryan, Kastaway and Jave back. I also took the opportunity to ask Fuzionz along as I wanted to sort out our tangles.

After dropping off Ryan at Jurong West, the rest of us decided to stop for supper at Bukit Batok and the Satay Bee Hoon was delicious. Kastaway left us after the meal as his house was within walking distance. After dropping Jave off at Woodlands, I finally had a chance to have a good talk with Fuzionz.

We drove round aimlessly ending up in Sembawang Park, Seletar Reservoir - all the places that dating couples haunts - when we are officially not together. Ironic?

I don't want to go into details here, maybe in another entry, but our consensus is that although we both enjoyed the short time together; the pressure we both felt from the speed that the relationship is going is too great at the moment for us to carry on.

Love is short lived when found most unexpectedly.

Love Hurts

Love hurts was what I commented in Kastaway's blog when he was posting about his breakup.

Love is blind, so blind that I didn't realized that some of the things I do out of love actually hurted him. Yup, you guys know who he is. I feel lousy that I didn't realized that I am stressing him all this while with my act of love. It all boils down to one thing - love is selfish.

So blinded that the relationship progressed at the speed that was too alarming, the warning signals were there but I choose to ignore it but to simply rush all the way through. Guess The Book of Answers that Cold Flames showed me was right:"Don't Over Do It". But I put my brakes on too slow and it resulted in a crash. A crash that I know I will recover from, but I worry that I had hurt him.

I was so on top of the world that I forget to place my attention on how he feel, I just went along with my feelings which actually made him feel more akward and unsure of how the relationship would move on.

At least I am glad he choose to tell me rather than to avoid me. I can only let go - no matter how reluctant I am - but trust me, I am feeling all sour inside. All I hope for is that he will meet someone who will cherish him, who knows how to love him.

How to love is something that I need to learn.

An Evening Out

My first thought when I woke up this morning is - no prize for guessing - My Dear.

Spent sometime online in the forums and exchanging messages with Dear at the same time. He shared his life story with me and I teared after reading what he went through. Trust me, it's not the kind of past that you will want to have.

Had planned to go swimming but somehow didn't have the mood after reading Dear's past. Went to have brunch at The HDB HUB Basement food court before going for a hair cut, so now my hair is back to short and spiky again.

Went down to Nines Cafe to wait for Dear and Skye di di; spent some time MSN-ing while waiting for them. Don't laugh! I know how to MSN lioa! Was so happy to see Dear when they finally reached at four plus. Slacked till almost seven when Jave and Cold Flames finally appeared to join us after work.

Dinner was at China Square Food Court. Its the first time I am there and felt quite awesome at the three storey eatery. Dear and I had japanese food and the quality is quite good as compared to jap food at other food courts.

Jigme, Bailong and Icy Windy met us at the food court as Jigme wanted to past some stuff to Skye and they also had their dinner there. Went to Clarke Quay after dinner to shop for a tie for Skye's dinner and dance tomorrow.

Skye went back to Nines Cafe after finding his tie to collect his belongings he dumped there before meeting up with his dar dar while the four of us roamed around Clarke Quay looking at clothes.

Dear was feeling tired and so was I. Thus we ended the outing by parting with Cold Flames and Jave at nine plus. Took a slow walk to City Hall with Dear and felt guilty when I saw how tired he was - cause he had wanted to take the train from Clarke Quay and I suggested going to City Hall as I want to spend more time with him. Was so reluctant to alight when I reached Braddell.

Can't seems to stop thinking of Dear.

Love At Long Last

Do you want the good news or the bad news first?

The bad news is that to all the single guys out there, you have just lost the chance to going on a date with yours truly as I now belong to someone special.

Yeap, I heard you scream:"Who's the unlucky soul that got hooked by this 'Lau Kok Kok' uncle with the Cannot Make It Looks?" Well its none other than Fuzionz.

Yes, I hear you wailing in surprise:"So fast?"

Not really, the chemistry between us is just to strong for either party to repel! And to quote myself:"its fast and furious."

I was real glad that I called Fuzionz yesterday nite. We talked for almost two hours on the phone and as the saying goes - the rest is history!

Met up with my Dear Dear Fuzz for lunch. I fetched him and we went to The G Cafe at The Gallery Hotel for lunch. Its not that I want to impress or what but just want our first date to be at some place different.

I feel like on Cloud Nine when I am with him and just can't seems to function properly as a human being - like forgetting to take back the parking ticket after paying or where I parked the car. All I know is that the sense of closeness and the being totally at ease when I am with him makes me feel very comfortable.

Can't seems to stop thinking about him the moment we part and I guess our phone bills will be pretty high as we are sms-ing each other like mad. He just played the song "shi bu shi zhe yang de ye wan ni cai hui ze yang de xiang qi wo" that I requested him to, when he's deejaying over at Touch512 Online Radio Station.

I was searching for a song "Two Less Lonely People In This World" for sometime but can't seems to find it. Those who know me will know that I seldom listen to English Songs but somehow the song left quite an impression when I heard it a few weeks back during the period I am yearning for that someone special to love. Guess what? I finally got it today, thinks its a revealation that things should work out fine in this relationship.

Love comes when you are least expecting it.

Struck By Love

I think I am struck by Cupid's Arrow.

Wasn't planning on posting in the Forums but started to post when I noticed Fuzionz posting in SGBoy. We were like taking the forum like MSN or some chatroom openly flirting with each other till we exceeded the maximum number of post allowed in a thread, while at the same time exchanging private messages till my Inbox almost hit the maximum quota.

Finally forced myself off the com when I was feeling the pangs of hunger that demanded immediate attention. Went down to Pennisular Plaza to have lunch and the queue at the vegetarian stall was super long but the service was quick.

Walked around a bit before ending up in Chills Cafe and spent close to two hours using the PM system like MSN to chat with Fuzionz. Met Cold Flames at City Hall and browsed in MPH while waiting for Jave to call. Walked over to Bugis Junction and I bought a pendant and a bracelet from 77th Street.

Met up with Jave at Bugis Village and spent some time looking at God Statues before heading down to have dinner at my primary school tuckshop which became the Victorial Street Food Court. After dinner, Cold Flames went home while Jave and me went over to meet P-boi to hang at Nines Cafe for awhile before heading home.

Fuzionz had been in my mind the whole day. I have a feeling that like most of my crushes, I doubt it will develop into a relationship; but I am going to call him to chat anyway.

Its now or never.

Eventful Day

Yesterday was pretty eventful on top of meeting my heart throb.

Was playing the mahjong game on the com till about noon that I felt so sleepy that I went off to sleep at about 11 plus, which is very unusual. Was woken up by Sis to accompany her to lunch at The HDTV Hub Club Food Court before she went off to work and mind you she is sick and supposed to be on medical leave.

Alternated between the mahjong game and the forums till dinner time and got Dad to sent me down to Chinatown Point to meet the guys at Nines Cafe. At least 3 of us were having lap tops opened but all were playing games! Had quite a nice time chatting mostly with Fuzionz and Linus, though did try to make some small talk with the rest.

We went on to Maxwell Market to have food - some had their dinner while others had supper - and all were shocked at the speed that Skye downed a gigantic glass of sugar cane juice after having a very filling dinner.

Went to Apollo Hotel after parting with the gang to meet Dad at the lounge there listening to some band playing mega hits but my mind was on Fuzionz all the time. This is the first time that a guy had this effect on me and I am feeling all weird.

Finally reached home at one plus and knocked out after reading all the postings by Fuzionz in SGBoy.

Heart Throb

I was electrified by the eyes of this guy I met last nite.

Went down to Nines Cafe after dinner where Jave, Skye, Cold Flames, Jigme, Linus and Southsea were hanging out. Skye introduced me to his classmate Fuzionz who has those eyes that melted my heart.

I was pondering on asking him for his phone number when he actually said he need to leave to meet friends. I was kicking myself like mad and wondering should I just ask Skye for his number but I thought that it would probably be best to just send him a message asking for it.

It was at this junction, that my heart throb came back with the friends whom he is supposed to meet and I found an opportunity to look at his lap top which has a wallpaper with the patchwork bear you and me on it, cause Skye was using my laptop while his is being used by someone else.

But the darnest thing is that I still did not ask for his phone number as I was just too enchanted talking to him, and he left pretty soon after his two friends finished dinner.

Wonder will I be seeing him again?

Late Nite Supper

Its has been a long time since I have had supper at an un-earthly hour.

But I was super hungry when Cookie Monster called up asking if I can meet him for supper at The Lorong 5 Hawker Center, so I agreed, partly due to the hunger and partly feeling guilty cause he had asked me twice to meet him which I didn't.

Skye was looking for people to have dinner too, so I asked him to join us. After meeting Skye at the bus-stop, we went over to the hawker center to meet Cookie Monster. I was really too tired to make sensible conversation so I was glad for Skye being around as he was the one that lightened up the atmosphere.

After the meal, we adjoined to the void deck of my block and we talked a bit more before Cookie Monster had to go home as he have to work the next day. Skye came up to my house to take the black shirt I promoised to lent him for his coming dinner and dance. I also gave him the other piece of my unpolished aquamarine which he has been looking for.

Finally slept at 2 plus after seeing Skye home and only woke up close to nine o'clock when every one else was out of the house. Surf the net spending most of the time in forums and chatroom only logging off when hunger really set in to eat a light lunch.

Snooze a while after lunch and carried on the com playing mahjong. Called Jave around evening to meet at Nines Cafe and he told me that Skye will be there as well.

There was a slight interruption to the train service on the way down so I was glad to have some Fa Lun Gong newspaper which they were selling at the interchange to read.

I was the earliest to be at Nines Cafe, and Cold Flames, Bailong and his friends arrived slightly later. Jave and Skye reached at Seven plus and thanks to my di di Skye, I now have MSN Messenger.

Although the day was boring, but the evening was well spent with good friends.

Lion Dance

Have not been going for Lion Dance for almost five years.

So, when Ah Biah called me yesterday nite asking if I can attend their Lion Dance Troupe today, I just agreed.

Left the house at seven in the morning, stopped by 7 eleven to buy cigarettes - will seems uncool without cigarettes when going for lion dance - and the cashier didn't know how to swipe my NETS card!!! Okay, flame me if you think that paying for a pack of $9.50 cigarettes is too much.

Planned to take the Express Bus 506 to Bedok but I missed one bus due to the hold up at 7 eleven so i ended up taking a cab there resulting in me being half an hour too early! The Troupe left Bedok Community Center at eight o'clock sharp to the first performance place, which was a new hair salon at the Buangkok MRT Station.

The second session is to take part in a Temple Procession at Serangoon North. Due to some cock-up on the temple's side, there were not enough helpers around to carry the four sedan chairs and look after the three mediums so some of the Lion Dance Troupe members were mobolised to carry the sedan chairs while Ah Biah and me ended up playing the Drum and Cymbal for the Temple.

The procession is supposed to start at 1 pm but due to the un-happiness of the God because of the poor turn-out of helpers, we only set off at 2 plus after the God spent close to an hour scolding his helpers.

We went to several places and only reached back to Serangoon at 6 plus. There was also a short performance for the Gods which is okay in the beginning but turned hilarious with the lion and the main medium rolling about on the floor!

We headed back to Bedok Community Center and reached there after seven. Since its too late for me to attend the Aids Candle Light Memorial, I stayed behind to help them to pack up, and sat around talking crap and teasing each other after that. Only left Bedok commit Center close to nine o'clock and headed home.

Although it is a fun day but my arms are sun burnt and I know that the skin will peel a few days later.

My mum is giving me a weird look cause I am talking to both Skye and Cookie Monster now at the same time on two phones arranging to meet for supper.

Coffee Outing At Sentosa

The Coffee Outing was one without coffee but with great friends and good fun.

The only regret I have is that I didn't bring my trunks or a spare shorts so I couldn't go into the sea to play.

Although I was supposed to meet Jave at nine o'clock, I only woke up at 8:45 when he called up. Spent some time on the net while waiting for my phones to be charged before leaving the house around ten plus.

Only reached Palawan Beach at noon where Ian, Ryan, Jave, Linus and Skye was already there having fun playing frisk-b. Joined in the frisk-b game awhile when I suddenly have the urge to cleanse the two crystals I brought along. Skye also brought his crystals along, so we deserted the gang to charge our crystals in the sea.

Went to buy food for lunch at the 7-eleven there which is making big money from most of the beach goers buying food and stuff. After a hearty lunch of many different kind of food and drinks, and still without coffee, Skye did a tarrot reading for me regarding my up coming assignment - which is quite accurate.

Jin Tong + You and Me arrived around three and Baby Face and JcBoy came around four. The atmosphere was light and many jokes and punch lines were delivered making all having good laughs. The gang went on to play frisk-b but I didn't join in as I don't think its safe to leave all the bags unattended. After the guys got tired of playing, all sat around the table to talk more before most headed for the showers to bathe.

Skye, Jave and me went to Hougang to have dinner and the Teochew Porridge - although we didn't have porridge but rice instead - was simply delicious and not a scrap of food was left of the eight dishes we ordered, not to say we also had Rojak as dessert.

Jave suggested to pay a visit to Tian De Gong since we are in the vicinity, and surprisingly Skye also went with us. I had trouble answering Skye's questions and hope that there will be an opportunity to do so some other times.

Just bathed and posted about the outing in the SGBoy Forums. while waiting for my hair to dry before turning in. I feel more cheerful and there are more activities to occupy me since I started to meet up with people from SGBoy Forums.

This is one happy day!

One Of Those Days

This is another day that things didn't go as planned.

Went to StarHub to pay my handphone bills so I have at least the spare line to call while the normal line I use can still receive incoming calls.

Was supposed to meet YoungWolf2K but due to the breakdown in communications, we didn't meet up at all. Hopefully he can go for the Sentosa Coffee Outing as I feel that its only right that I spent some time with him cause he has come all the way here from another country.

Cauli called up just when I was taking lunch asking if I want to go to West Coast Park with her, which I declined. She called again when I was idling in Nines Cafe to say that the Macs at West Coast Park is crowded with people so I drove over to fetch her. We just drove aimlessly around and ended up in - Nines Cafe!

Jave called when he knocked off and I drove over to Tiong Bahru to meet him as I have to pass him the statue that I have given him. Dropped Cauli off at West Mall and Jave at Bukit Gombak before fetching Mum from her school.

Its one of those days.

Unexpected

Didn't plan to go out at all today, but as the saying goes: expect the unexpected.

Spent the morning playing the mahjong game after loading it into the family com while alternating between forums and Blogger.

Finally left the house at two plus to pay the conservancy charges for my dad followed by lunch at the upgraded market cum hawker center near the Town Council.

I wore a pair of very worn, faded and rather translucent shorts which showed that I am wearing orange briefs. A group of school girls ogled openly at me on the bus, which I didn't even bother to look at them; but if its a bunch of school boys, then it will be a different story!

Continued with the mahjong game when I came back after lunch. Jia Ming sms to say that he is looking for a job in Boat Quay to no avail and he is feeling bored. So I asked him to come over to my place.

We talked about our pasts a bit and more about our ambitions before dinner and with his help, managed to clear most of the food away. We realized that both of us like to read Sidney Sheldon and Enid Blyton so I lent him two books form my Sheldon's collection and a vcd Monte Cristo.

Sent him back to Ang Mo Kio and headed down to Nines Cafe to meet Jave. CK, Alvin and Skye was there as well. I wasn't really in the mood to talk so I left to fetch Sis from her Bible Class and Dad from the hospital, although it was way too early.

Will be meeting YoungWolf2k, who is in Singapore this few days, for lunch tomorrow.

Tian De Gong

Went to watch 'Tian De Gong' shifting into their new premises yesterday.

Waited for Jave till almost three o'clock at Nines Cafe and felt bored cause my laptop is out of power and there are no cute guys to ogle at.

Spent a little more time at Nines Cafe after Jave arrived and we decided to come over to my home before heading to Geylang. I showed Jave some photos that I seldom show anyone as I believe that he would understand that part of my life more than anyone else. I didn't know why, but I gave him a crystal ornament which I bought a long time ago in Taiwan and a mini statue of 'Zhong Tan Yuan Shuai' which I have kept for very long time and I think is not available in the market anymore.

We took a cab to 'Tian De Gong' and realized that we were way too early to see any action, so we walked around a bit and to our surprise there were at least twenty odd temples in that area which we think might be a good addition to our impending project. We also had a chat with a 'Lao Ki' at 'Qiu Tian Xuan Nv Gong' and probably would be visiting him more often.

When we really feel pointless in waiting there, we hopped into a cab and whizzed to 'Yu Huang Dian' at Jurong West where the procession will be heading to later.

Talked a lot of crap about what might happen if I pray to The Jade Emperor calling him 'Lao A' in hokkien which means Father and telling him "Wa bo lui eng.' Jave and me concluded that He will not be offended as He is the Heavenly Father who provides for His people, that is - us. Sounds like Christian?

I always believed that The Christian God = The Jade Emperor as both their characteristics and merits are similar. Flame me if you want, cause I also believe that Allah is the same being as well. Stone me to death if you want!

There was this cute guy who is rather shy that I befriended while waiting for the procession and shared a bit about what I know about Chinese Culture with him and his friend, though not that cute but adorable in another way. Hee, at least got eye candy while waiting.

We waited till about 9 plus before the procession of 8 Lions, 1 Dragon, a Teochew Drums Troupe, a Golden Drums Troupe, 5 Sedan Chairs and 1 Medium sitting on a Nail Chair Sedan arrived.

The medium is here to inform The Jade Emperor that their temple is shifting into new premises and seek his blessings. If you know Chinese History and Literature well like me and Jave, then you will find it interesting to watch all this and know what is the significance behind.

We followed them to their new temple in their bus and talked more crap about how we will name our temple should we have one some day and loads more about all the Chinese Culture stuff.

The procession arrived in Old Tampines Road where the new temple is and went to surrounding temples to make courtesy calls to the many temples there informing all the Gods that they are shifting into the area.

We didn't watched till the end of the whole ceremony but left after the procession reached the new temple. We were real lucky to catch the last bus from that area and ended up in Yio Chu Kang before parting our ways to go home.

This is the first time I witnessed a temple's shifting from beginning to almost the end, though I watched bits and pieces of such ceremonies when young but this is a first time I watched from a spectator's perspective as I was always one of the people in the procession then.

It is an eye opening experience and more so meaningful as I could discuss with Jave on the happenings and procedures.

Looking forward to witness another such event in the Lunar eight month.

Sick!

Not me but my laptop is sick!

He caught the Sasser Virus Flu Bug, so I try to administer his medicine after calling Acer, who sent it through e mail, but to no avail.

So I called up the PC Clinic in Challenger and made an appointment to bring him there. After the PC Doctor pressed on him here and there and make him take in some anti-virus and a firewall, he was cured.

Bought the Mahjong Game but can't seems to load it into the laptop. Am blogging this now in Nines Cafe cause I tap into their network through my laptop now!

Still waiting impatiently for Jave to come.

Movie Outing

Met up with the people I worked with on the Robinson Assignment.

Watched Van Helsing at Cineleisure and I am awed by the changes to the place. It is simply bustling with activities and human beings. Saw Hakim and Kay and a couple of other friends who were either to far away to acknowledge or they just didn't notice me.

Walked around in Cineleisure awhile before going over to The Herren to shop around with the gang, ended up buying a bracelet from 77th Street.

Had the most expensive dinner at Takashimaya Food Court. $7.00 for a packet of vegetarian bee hoon with three dishes, I swear this is the last time I will be buying from that stall and I am going to write in to the management and CASE to lodge my complaints.

Idle awhile at the Civic Plaza before all decide to head home.

Its My Day

It is not everyday that a cute boy appears at your door.

This happened to me yesterday. Just when I was changing to go out, a very cute guy appeared at my door. Realized later that someone posing as a student looking for kinky sex gave him my address in SGBoy Chat Room.

My first intuition was to turn him away, which I did but the thought "you might find love in the most unexpected place" flashed through my mind and I invited him into the house, which he did!

We chatted for almost an hour and ended up in my bedroom. Just when things are beginning to happen, my dad came back! We didn't continue but went to Toa Payoh Central to have Japanese food in the food court.

After the meal, I went to Chinatown Point to meet Jave at Nine Cafe while Vincent - the cute guy - went to Bugis Junction to meet his friend.

After idling a while at Nines Cafe, I went over to U4Ria at Somerset to look at some toys but didn't buy anything. Instead bought some bondage ropes from Condominium next door. Met Skye who was waiting for Cold Flames at the Chinatown MRT Station Exit while on my way to Somerset.

Went back to Nines Cafe (!) again after buying my stuff and as expected, Cold Flames and Duo Maxwell were there. Skye did some tarrot cards reading for us and it was pretty accurate. Vincent finally called at eleven o'clock just after we left Nines Cafe and I met up with him in City Hall.

Had a long chat with him and I told him all about my life at one go which I never did to anyone before. Although most of my close friends are aware of my legendary life, they didn't get it as one whole chunk but in bits and pieces.

We finally parted at two plus, agreeing to start off as friends and go out a few times before deciding if we are suitable to go into a relationship.

Koonz till about nine plus before forcing myself up.

The Evil Computer

Do you have the experience of planning do a whole list of things but ended up procrastinating once you switch on the computer?

The sun was shining bright when I woke up and I thought it is a great day for swimming and sun tanning. I also want to pack my room and iron my clothes before my room turns into a laundry shop.

But none of the above were completed at this point of time as I spent the whole morning on the net doing my blog, replying in forums and visiting crappy sites.

Am forcing myself out of the computer chair to at least put all the clothes into the cupboard and tidy up the room a bit.

Besides, I am fucking hungry.

Failure

"Hello! ... Services, Rebecca speaking."

"Hello! This is Andi here, calling to check..."

"Oh, I was about to call you. You are not short listed for the assignment. But is it alright if I enter your name for a T1 interview?"

"Oh. Okay, no problem."

"Okay, bye."

"Thank you Rebecca, bye."

Weekend Again

This is an interesting weekend.

Went with Mum, on Saturday nite, to Funan Center and had Korean Food at the Food Court before going to look at Lap Tops and ended up buying the Acer Travel Mate 372i. It comes with Windows XP Pro, Chinese Star 2003, 64mb Usb Flash Drive, External CDR Drive and a couple of other accessories.

Met up with Jin Tong, Gold, Jules, Kensai, Ciboysg, Jave, P boi and Justin for coffee. Ended up at Liang Court Starbucks and had quite a good time talking cock. The gang went on to club at Taboo while I went over to Sound Bar for a while before heading home.

Sunday morning was spent snoozing in bed and fixed up the Lap Top in the afternoon. Raymond called to say that there is a God Procession at Bukit Purmei, so I dashed there in double top speed to see the beginning of the Procession but didn't join in.

Went over to Telok Blangah Crescent to visit Steven's Temple and was chiled by him for not helping out in their Procession in the morning. He was okay after I told him that no one inform me of when is the procession although I know there is one this year.

Came back to Toa Payoh to have Mothers' Day dinner with Dad, Mum, Sis, Grandma, Aunty 6 + Uncle and Aunty 7. Drove Grandma and company home before meeting Jave to go see Gods at Bukit Panjang.

Had some silly talk about my childhood dreams with Jave and thus concluded this week end.

Deprived

My PC is back from the repair shop.

After being deprived of the PC for a week as the Robinson assignment requires us to work from 9:30 am to 10:30 pm, the PC has to break down just when I finished the assignment. Luckily its back now and I can happily idle my time away on the net

Just finished clearing e-mails, private messages and what nots. Also posted replies in the few forums I frequent and caught up with the happenings of people I know.

Tag Board is down and I heard that Blogger will be having a new look, so my blog is kind of messed up a little. But I think every thing will be alright after a few days.

Will be meeting SGBoy Forum people for coffee later.

Cafes and A Cute Boy

Virus Attack.

My PC is infested with the Sasser and two other Viruses so the CPU is at the repair shop now and I am bloging this in Chills Cafe.

Thim Ler called up in the morning enlisting me in accompanying him to Robinson Raffles City to return his uniform. The actual fact is that he wants to get a girl's number from the Human Resource people which I know it is impossible as these data are confidential.

After settling Thim Ler's stuff at Robinson, and failing to get the girl's number, we went to John Little Somerset to get his pay for the John Little assignment cause there was some errors in his bank account number he submitted. But the staff there has no idea of what is going on as the permanent staff are not around, so we decide to go for lunch first before going back to sort the problem out.

After lunch, we went to Robinson Center Point to visit the people we worked with in Expo and we met another temp staff who extended her contract to work in outlet and Thim Ler finally got his dream girl's sister's number from her. Then we went back to John Little and waited a while for the HR Manager who solved Thim Ler's pay problem.

After Thim Ler went home, I went to Funan to look at computer stuff and quite tempted by a Lap Top. Killed time at Nines Cafe before meeting Jave and Peter for dinner and then went back to Nines Cafe again! There is this ultra cute guy Kevlin aka Xiao Kel working there who has a pair of eyes that smiles and will electrifies you if you look at those eyes. I teased him by telling him that but he replied that his eyes are only to electrify girls.

Am blogging now at Chills Cafe and will be heading home soon.

Ikea

Cai Fei finally decided to quit.

Met up with her today and listened to her about her quitting from the job. Her working partner and her tendered their resignations on the same day, one at 4:30 pm and the other at 5:30 pm, but it was not intentional. So I guess the place might see a whole new team of people working there.

We had lunch at Secret Recipes in Anchor Point; although the food is okay but the waiting time is long. But as we were busy gossiping, so didn't really mind the wait. Walked about Ikea after lunch to look at their new display for the Summer Seasons then headed on to Holland Village to have ice cream at Hagan Daz.

Roy called up at nite to say he saw me at Ikea, although I didn't noticed him, to ask if I had turned straight as he saw me like choosing furniture with a girl there! Ha ha, we were only there to look at the display and buy tea lites.

Will be meeting Thim Ler later tonite to have coffee at Nines Cafe, again.

Outing

Met up with Jave today.

Went to Bao An Gong to pray to the Monkey God as the temple just shifted into their new premises. Then had lunch at the food court in Tampines Mall.

Went over to his site office to collect some documents before going over to Kelly Services to collect my pay check for the exhibition assignment.

Nua the rest of the time away at Nines Cafe before heading home.

Last Day

Today is the last day of the Robinson Assignment.

We were released at 4 plus today after clearing up the remainder of the sales items like a well executed military operations. We finished by lunch time and help with some odds and ends after lunch before there was nothing else we could do. So they dismissed us and I am officially jobless again.

Met up with Yong Quan for some fun at nite and it was a real stress relieving session. After the session, I went to have coffee at Manhattan Cafe which is a new cafe along Bencoolen Street when Fionna called and we chatted like almost an hour before we had to stop cause my handphone went flat!

Going to make up for the lost sleep.

Rubbish

The amount of rubbish generated is awesome in the name of commercialism.

Although I am not the ultra environmental friendly type, I do try to recycle paper, plastic and batteries as and when I can by throwing them into recycling bins.

But I will have this feeling that I can't describe when I see the loads of paper, plastic and waste being thrown away during assignments on exhibitions and especially warehouse sales.

Makes me want to double my effort to recycle stuff.

Give Me Ten Minutes

I am working with this guy called Wei Hong for the past two days.

He is sort of a floater cause he has no specific job although he is by right a Cashier. I am instructed to get him to help me if I need to do things that I can't manage alone.

I will look for him and ask him:"Can give me ten minutes of your time." Which he will readily agree.

Towards the end of the nite, I ask him partly for fun and partly due to boredom:"Can give me your 'yi sheng yi shi'?" And he replied that he will consider!

Am I reading too deep?

Can I Have A New One?

This is the most common statement I heard this few days working at the Robinson's Warehouse Sale.

Even after pain staking explaining to customers that the piece of crystal vase, bowl, ash tray or whatever they are interested in buying is the only piece around, they still insist on us to find them a new one.

So we learnt the trick of going to find the new one by walking to another area to put the piece of crystal into an empty box, then return to the customer and open the box in front of them claiming that its a new one.

It works.
